Why it isn’t DIY

Gas work in Ontariois licensed work.

In Ontario, installing or altering a gas line has to be done by a technician licensed under the TSSA (Technical Standards and Safety Authority, Ontario’s fuel safety regulator). That protects your family, and it matters to your insurer if something ever goes wrong.

A new appliance also adds load to your existing gas piping. We check that the whole system can carry it, so the furnace and water heater still get enough gas when everything runs at once.

  • Adding a BBQ or fire table→New line from the nearest suitable pipe, with an outdoor shutoff
  • Switching to a gas range→Line to the kitchen with an appliance valve
  • Garage or shop heater→Sized line plus venting checked
  • Gas dryer→Short run with a flexible connector

Know where you want it?

Send a photo of your gas meter and where the appliance will go. We can often price it from that.
